Terms of service.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel a shift for whatever reason, please do so as ahead of time as possible. Shifts cancelled more than a month ahead of time are subject to a 30% cancellation fee if they are unable to be filled by myself. Shifts cancelled between 2-4 weeks ahead of time are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. 1-2 weeks ahead will incur an 80% cancellation fee. Cancellation less than 7 days prior will be payable in full. Any cancellation of shifts where the relief veterinarian has booked travel, accommodation etc., this will be payable by the practice if unable to be fully refunded.

If mutually agreed, the shift may be cancelled without penalty.

The relief veterinarian will only cancel the shift in case of:

  • serious family emergency

  • disability or injury leading to inability to fulfil job description

  • delinquent payment for more than 7 days

and will do so without penalty. Any deposit will be refunded.

PAYMENT

All invoices are payable in full upon receipt. I will invoice within a week of completing the shift, including any overtime worked. Late payment will incur a fee of $100 per week. If the invoice is delinquent for more than one month, 2% compound interest will be charged monthly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The relief veterinarian will not be expected to declaw, crop ears, or crop the tails of individual dogs not intended for hunting in heavy cover.

The relief veterinarian will not give antibiotics if not indicated; nor will they perform surgeries or procedures without adequately trained staff, equipment, or if postoperative monitoring care deemed appropriate is not offered by the clinic.

I expect technicians to be happy taking a history and TPR when “rooming” patients and clients. I expect this information to be loaded into the PMR whilst I do my physical examination.
